17-18th February 2018

Published: 20th February 2018.

I visited the West-coast of Java during two days in February and got to observe Krakatau troughout the day, as the weather conditions and clarity of sight were good. The distance from my point of observation to Krakatau was around +/- 48km, however with a good zoom lens I could zoom on Krakatau. During my observations I could see that Anak-Krakatau was emitting a medium strong degassing plume on both days.
