Visited Bromo again in October, mainly to observe the yearly peak of the Orionid Meteor Shower. However not many large and long-living meteors was observed.
This was my 5th visit this year. Activity in bromo has increased in 2015, compared to 2014. Gas emissions, especially sulphur outputs have increased in 2015. A constant rumbling sound could be heard during my visit to the crater on the 19th October, caused by what seems to be, intense gas pressure.

The status of Krakatau seems to have not changed the last year. Local sources and the PVMG officials at the Krakatau Observatory in Pasauran, both claim not to have any indications that the volcano have not erupted in 2015. Seismic activity fluctuates but has decreased to low levels the last months, with the exception of a few modest peaks in activity..

Photos from the Dieng Plateau. 3-4th October 2015. Sindoro was seen emitting a steady plume of steam. The volcano haven’t erupted since 1970 according to the Smithsonian Institute. This is the first time I have seen gas emissions from the volcano, and I have seen the volcano every year since 2012, from either the Dieng Plateau or the Yogyakarta region. See photos here
Visited Bromo on the 30th July enroute to Ranu Pani village. The emission from the Bromo volcanic cone seem to be increasing these days. It could imply that something is on the move within its magma chambers.
These photos was taken on the 2th August 2015, from the Tengger Caldera, approximatly 120 km west of Raung. Ash was seen drifting in a southern direction of the volcano. Activity seemed to have increased, compared to observations made on the 28th July and 1th August 2015.
I visited Raung with the objective to photograph the activity on the 27th-28th July. Activity was ongoing, but seemed to have decreased slightly from the days before my arrival.
